Hydrocodone VS. Oxycodone [Archive]

ok let me start off by saying ive used oxycodone not more than maybe 7 or 8 times ever. Ive used hydrocodone MANY times. lots of hydro..
At the times i used the oxycodone I had a very little opaite tolerence. I was also still a bit opaite nieve. (ie. i couldnt really tell the differnce btw a hydro high or an oxy high or a codeine high... they all just felt "fucked up") so i never really got to "appreciate" the oxys , so to speak..

But just the other day I got my hands on four oxy 40s. snorted 2 of em in a matter of 30 mins. (I now have a much high tolerence as you can tell. I like to take about 70 mgs of hydro to feel real nice) and despite all the hype and raving over this drug, I really dont think it is any better than hydrocodone. In fact, I actually prefer the hydrocodone high! Its less itchy and more sedating and just puts me in the right place :) ...Now dont get me wrong though, the Oxycontins were very nice, GReat euphoria! but, my vote is still with the Vicodin & friends. Heh

Mabye im just weird, but does anyone else share the same opinon?

So which one is it everyone? Hydro or Oxy?

Yeah hydrocodone is softer and dopier. I've never really done it in high amounts. Oxy actually seems to be less "soft".. with a slight uppity feeling. I'd say they are equally euphoric. I think Oxy is popular because it can be sniffed and instantly enjoyed. If I wanted to sit around and do absolutely nothing, I'd probably choose the hydro. I think most would agree with this. Taking a lot of em at once will be hard on your liver though, you shoud cold water extract the apap

Yeah I don't know why they don't have such a thing (hydrocontin). IN ways Hydro seems to have more painkilling properties. The APAP does enhance these drugs though, thats why sometimes a percocet can feel more powerful compared to the same amount of oxycontin snorted

Definitely oxycodone for me. My tolerance to hydro is way too high. I don't know how to extract, and so by the time I take enough hydrocodones to actually get a buzz, I'm sick as hell. :(

I have never tried Hydro because it isn't available in Canada (actually it is as a cough suppressant but not available UG) so I can't compare. I would love to try some though because I prefer the sedating effects of H over Oxys. I usually add some V's with the Oxys to get a more sedated effect. Wouldn't it be nice if you could just go to a compounding pharmacy and order your own custom mix ? Dream on.

shit... they are both opiates.... If you gave me the coice of buying percs or vikes Id buy both and combine them.. 30mg oxy + 30mg hydro is a great high..

Oxy definitely beats hydro in the euphoria department.. However, if I could only have one, Id choose hydrocodone(in equal proportions). What hydro lacks in the euphoria department, it definitely makes up for in time.. With me, 40mg oxycodone would last 3-4 hours, and 40mg hydro would last 4-6 hours.. Also, I like sedation, and hydro gets me to the nod a bit quicker..

However, Oxycontin is superior if only because it is snortable.

Completly agreeable except that Oxy is better.

If they made Hydrocodone the same way they made Oxycontin I would chose hydrocontin any day over Oxy.

I perfer a more sedating, relaxing opiates.
I find Oxy not to be as euphoric as Hydro.

I like the long-lasting, satisfying, euphoric buzz a heavy dose of hydrocodone gives me.

I like more sedating opiates too. It's not like a valium sedation which I hate, but being sedated on hydrocodone is Nice.

And oxy is WAY to short, it's over in like 2-5 hours depending on dose, I perfer hydrocodone all the way, but perfer fentanyl and demerol over both.

THe combination of oxy and hydro is unbelievable!, and I have used and abused EVERY opiate over and over, except Oxymorphone, which is supposed to be PHEENOMINAL. the oxy euphoria and the hydro sedation is the perfect mix. As is oxymorphone and hydromorphone, on the BIG BOY level.

Me personally I prefer oxy tohydro, hydro makes me doze off and I become lethargic and tired, where as oxy as stated above makes me a lil hyper, a lil more euphoric, talkative, and enrgetic, hydrocodone , coming up i feel a lil euphoria but no where near as much as oxy.... but i know many people who prefer hydro to oxy , cuz oxy can be a lil too strong for their liking.. but i guess it just comes down to personal prefrance, if you like the nodding off, laid the fuck out feeling then go for hydro, if you wanna take some , have a good time, be in a great mood then oxy would be my choice.

It depends on my mood to determine which I would prefer. I get a warm, sedating, euphoria with Hydrocodone, and a super clean, clear minded, stimulating euphoria with Oxycodone. When it comes down to it, I would chose Oxycontin over any Opiate including Heroin. ..But as far as Percocets, I'd rather have Hydrocodone.

Yeah,

If I could have 30 10/500 mg hydrocodones or 30 10mg oxy's i would take the oxy cause it's apap free.
For a stimulating, out-going opiates go with oxy, if not chose the hydro,

I think thats why oxy is so popular, these young people like to be more hyped up and less sedated were other like me like the non-party nice night at home hydrocodone buzz.

This is why even though hydrocodone is good, usually it's not found as the only ingredient, usually a NSAID or abuse discouraging drug added with it.

This is why for pharmacueticals I like Fentanyl patches, High strenth liquid morphine 100mg per teaspoon, and oxy's the best of the gang, no APAP or other crap and are "highly, highly" abusable.

This is why more doctors are switching from percocet to hydrocodone. They figure that it's safer for there ass to prescribe u vicodin than a CII narcotic like Oxycodone.

Anyways, I took 45mg of hydrocodone and hadent used in 3 months and it was ok, but I had to eat like 5 grams of APAP with the pills too.

This is why the strong CII drugs are more desiarable.

I'm definatly one of those who prefer Hydrocodone to Oxycodone. To me, when I am in the mood for opiates, I tend to like to use by myself, or with somone else in the same mindset (lets get sedated). So, there's nothing to me like a high dose of Hydrocodone, some music, and a comfy bed (or floor - everything is comfy) to bliss the fuck out on and melt into untill i can't move for an hour or so.

I like the above stated mix of Hydrocodone/APAP & Oxycodone (50mg:30mg) but if I had to choose one or the other I would choose Oxycodone due to the fact it doesnt have APAP with it and its easy to control the "high" with the dose. APAP is bad for your liver after a while or when drinking.

Just a question. I realize that IVing pills is bad and you shouldnt do it, but I know there are people who do it. SO for the people who do, is shooting oxycontin really THAT much better then say, eating it or, snorting it?? it seems to do the job very well...;)

Fentanyl is like a strong kick in the ass.
Fentanyl doesn't slowly hit you orally like Oxy or Hydro it just plain smacks you!

I ate a full 2.5mg patch one time with a light tolerence in about 30minutes by eating it/rubbing it on my gums and I was fucked up and noddin hard the rest of the night.......

I definetly prefer oxy to hydro, hands down. Who likes taking 8-10 horse-pill M360s for a good nod, versus one oxy80. (on the other hand I've been known to bust a whole 80 in one line). You can't snort hydros (well, unless you like APAP) if you wanted to, and versus the rush you get from oxy there's no comparison, recreationally, IMO.

Fentalyl is another story, ohhh I've had some good times with those. Despite what PhreeX says about sucking the goo, that is my preferred way of taking it. I find that it kicks in nice in about 45minutes and can last around up to 8 hours (if its a high dose). Wearing the patch never worked right for me, if i put it on first tihing in the morning it wouldn't start to get good until I was sleeping that night, which would be a itchy and uncomfortable hell and I'd have to take it off. I haven't had patches in a while, though my last time was great, ate a 10mg patch, veged all day feelin funky. Don't try that though, you'll probabyl die with no tolerance.

yeah,
When you take a high dose it lasts like 4-7 hours, not like the 1 hr long 200ug doses.
one time I ate 3mg , which doesn't sound like alot but it's 40X more potent than smack!

It isn't like your sorta high, on fentanyl your smacked or not.

^do a search....and to back on topic if we could, fror me it toally depends on teh situation and time of day,idf i want to be up more i normally would do so oxy,dosent matter what form i can get most of them but oxyfast.as for hydro i know it will sound weird but i prefer tussiniex over vicodin and otehr pill based hydro, i dont know why maybe it's the suspension but a table spoon or two of that shit nad im feeling good for while and for some reason i just like the high more,mybe ill try combinig it with some oxy sometime sounds like a lot of fun.howowever in the end ill have to say oxy is the preferd high folowed by tussinex then hydro pills,up until this weekedn i might of said hydro i was gettting sick of pxy all the time but i finally got to try oxyIR this weekend 30mg and wow it's totally rekinldled my love,id almost pay 50cent a mg for this shit.

yeah iv used both tussinex and i had 3 bottles prolly close to 20oz each of liquid hydrocode,it dident say tussinex and dident say suspended,deft. one of my best opiate exp. ever,not only that but the shit rtaste awsome,jesus a table spoon or two and your on top of the world i use to keep it in a coke bottle in my bacpack....oh those wereth days,as for oxyfast nah iwish like i said above the only oxy by prodduct i have yet to try.ill do a search and find th hydro liquid i had ( i was retty young when i found it ,17,so i dont rtemebr exactley.

Tussinex is good as hell, 10mg hydrocodone per teaspoon.
Best hydrocodone buzz i've had too.

But i would take like 50-70mg 5-7 tsps and dissolve it in some coca-cola and drink, that way the time release would be broke.
but thats just me.
