Adderall vs. Dexedrine
Okay, so I'm almost certain this topic has been discussed before. Humor me.
What is your preference between these two formulations of amphetamines. I had always thought through drug folklore, dispelled to me from my older drug using pals, that dexedrine was a much cleaner, yet arguably more potent high. I have recently begun using both pharmaceuticals again, as I was going through old things in the closet and found a literal pit of about a dozen+various speed prescriptions (I also found what must be the last pharmaceutical quaalude on earth. Where I got that is another story.) Anyway, despite the usual preference of dexedrine, I seem to be enjoying the floaty, body-oriented (for amphetamines) high. Tell me what you think, I'm interested.

This will probably get closed as like you said this has been talked about many times, has even been on the front page of topics very recently, and possibly still is.
Dex is a better cleaner high.

Yeah UTFSE, but yeah Adderall is a racemic mixture of d and l isomers of amphetamine so you are getting a lot of physical symptoms (sweating, heart pounding etc). Dexedrine is just the d isomer (dextroamphetamine) so it doesn't affect the PNS as much and you mainly get only CNS stimulation. I like it a lot better as the CNS stimulation is still there, but none of the unwanted physical effects. I think thats what raver is saying about a "cleaner high."
This is just a short brief explanation. UTFSE(use the search function) and you will find a more in depth explanation. I know I have typed one out in the past

honestly, i have found adderall more stimulating because of the l-amp and its physical stimulation properties. dexedrine is way more euphoric but i can sleep on the shit, unlike adderall

I honestly prefer Adderall to Dex
Contrary to 90% of amp users, dex just doesnt do it for me. It's euphoric, but not really in an awesome way. D-amp euphoria in general to me is shit tier, esp. when compared to some good MDMA or a nice dose of oxy.
So I dont take it to get high, I take it for school. And for school that extra stimulation of L-amp gets my ass up and awake and ready to do shit.
Recreationally Dex is better, but honestly they both suck recreationally IMO.

I know this thread is old but tossing my thought into the mix I like Dex WAY better than Adderall. Just a better high.

Dex is my choice... would love to try Desoxyn but getting a script is near impossible.

Id have to agree. But for that one day, the day I posted this, I was preferring adderall. Primarily because, due to the parasympathetic nervous system stimulation, I got many many more of those wonderful hair-on-the-back-of-my-twacked-out-neck rushes when I listened to particularly druggie music. Get what I mean

anyone know the dose equivalency between addy and dex? I've taken like 45mg of dex and doesnt feel nearly like 45mg of addy imo. I thought it was between 1:1 and 1:.75

I dunno, ya know tho that most pharmacies that still carry generic spansules and whatnot, have told me that "Nobody has used that bottle in like a year or so" .... So the dexedrine tends to be really old. My friend who worked at the pharmcy brought me hundreds of them they were going to "burn up" cause they were way expired.
Adderalls are stronger. But you can take more dexedrine without having the backaches/headaches, at the same intensity of adderall. I agree with DIVINA that adderall def will make the hairs stand up on your arms and your neck. But after a few years none of these meds will do anything except make you have WORSE ADD. Yep , thats my experience with pretty much everyone I've met.
I hate ritilin , but i am forced to admit it helps me shut up and concentrate. Whereas on adderall (esp with weed) will make my mind jump all over the place. Or repeat a melody or lyric over and over again, but i am a musician so its not so bad
